Shimano Human Science: The calm and the chaos
Many former pro cyclists find it hard to say goodbye to the thrill of the race after hanging up their helmets. This certainly was the case for Paolo. Although he lives a calm, rural life on his farm, close to a quiet village in the northern mountains of Italy, the pull of the competitive cycling community is undeniably strong – and he still goes in for its singular rush.
Watch how Paolo prepares for his next race and find out what farming and supporting cycling competitions have in common in the first episode of Human Science. We’ll take you behind the scenes and into the lives of the people of the blue Shimano Neutral Service vehicles at the world’s most prestigious classics and grand tours.
After a career as a pro cyclist, Paolo returned to work at his family’s farm in Northern Italy. But that doesn’t mean he has completely closed the door on the rush of professional racing. Jump in his car and experience what it’s like to be a Shimano Neutral Service driver in the latest episode of Human Science.
