Bicycle Landscape: cycling across all 388 Dutch municipalities

Research

Between 2011 and 2017, Yorit Kluitman cycled through all 388 Dutch municipalities. During this journey, Kluitman took over ten thousand photos of the Dutch landscape between cities and villages, exclusive of people and buildings: a cross-section of the organised Netherlands. The project was finished in September 2017 with the publication of the book 'Bicycle Landscape - why the Netherlands looks like this'.
